Volunteer with the Quartermain Earth Science Centre (QESC)

Join our community and inspire a love of geoscience!

At the QESC, volunteers are an essential part of our team. They help bring our educational programs, exhibitions, collections, and research to life for visitors of all ages. We're always looking for enthusiastic, curious individuals who are excited to make a difference—whether by inspiring young learners, handling fascinating specimens, or supporting our digital platforms!

No experience necessary—just a passion for learning and sharing! Training is provided for all volunteer roles, and we welcome individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life.

  • Outreach Assistant – support hands-on activities for school and public programs

  • Collections Assistant – help organize, catalogue, and care for specimens

  • Digital Content Support – assist with digital projects (some roles may require specific skills)
